Welcome to Linkbot’s Google Search Console Integration. By connecting your GSC account to Linkbot, you unlock advanced indexing diagnostics and deeper insights into your website’s SEO performance.
This guide walks you through what the feature does, how to set it up, and what to expect after connecting.
Why Connect Google Search Console?
Linkbot’s Priority Indexer uses GSC data to:
Accurately detect which pages are indexed by Google
Enhance our Priority Indexing feature, boosting unindexed pages using smart internal links from high-traffic pages
Prepare for future features, such as keyword visibility tracking and coverage issue reports
This integration ensures Linkbot works seamlessly with Google-verified properties for maximum performance.
How to Connect Your Google Account
Go to Property Settings
In your Linkbot dashboard, navigate to the specific property you want to connect.
Find Google Search Console Integration
Look for the section labeled Google Search Console Integration.
Click “Connect Google Account”
This launches the Google OAuth flow where you’ll be prompted to sign in and grant access.
Linkbot requests permission to:
View and manage your Search Console-verified properties.
Access your email and basic profile info for account linking.
Grant Permissions
Check the box for the Webmaster scope (Google requires this step).
Return to Linkbot
Once connected, you’ll see your Google Account status updated to Connected.
What Happens After Connecting?
Linkbot will begin using your GSC data to analyze indexing status across your property’s URLs.
The Priority Indexer will prioritize pages with verified traffic and indexability for smarter link placement.
Your reports will now include:
Indexed vs. Unindexed page percentages.
A “+X% from Linkbot” indicator showing indexing improvements attributed to Linkbot.
Your Privacy & Data Security
Linkbot only requests view and manage access to your verified site data.
You can revoke access anytime in your Google Account Permissions.
FAQ
Q: Do I need GSC for Linkbot to work?
No. Linkbot’s core features (internal linking, dynamic snippets) work without it, but connecting GSC dramatically improves Priority Indexer accuracy.
Q: Can I connect GSC for only one property?
Yes. GSC connections are managed per property, so you can choose which sites to connect.
Q: Will this slow down my site?
No. All GSC API requests are handled server-side and don’t impact your website performance.
Pro Tip
Enable GSC on all properties you manage to get full benefit from upcoming features like keyword tracking and coverage reports.
