Guide on how to install the Linkbot HTML snippet on Shopify

Introduction

Linkbot can significantly enhance the SEO of your Shopify store through strategic internal linking. This guide will show you how to add the Linkbot snippet to your Shopify theme.

Step 1: Obtaining Your Linkbot HTML Snippet

  1. Log into your Linkbot account at Linkbot Account Home.

  2. Select the property panel for your Shopify store and click "Property Settings".

  3. Find the Linkbot HTML snippet in the Property Settings and copy it.


Step 2: Accessing Shopify Theme Editor

  1. Log into your Shopify Admin dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Online Store > Themes.

  3. Find your active theme and click "Actions", then select "Edit code".


Step 3: Adding the Snippet to Your Theme

  1. In the Theme Editor, under the "Layout" directory, find and click on the file named "theme.liquid".

  2. Scroll to the bottom of this file to find the </body> tag.

  3. Paste the Linkbot HTML snippet just before the </body> tag.

  4. Save the changes.


Step 4: Verifying the Installation

  1. Visit your Shopify store's homepage to ensure that it loads correctly with Linkbot integration.

  2. Optionally, check your Linkbot account to confirm the store is properly connected and the snippet is active.
