Add Property
Updated over a week ago

Important: Your property is the website which you want to add to Linkbot for automated internal linking.

To add a property to Linkbot, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in: If you already have a Linkbot account, log in using your login credentials.

  2. Access the Dashboard: Once you are logged in, navigate to the Linkbot dashboard where you can manage your properties and property settings.

3. Add a Property: Click on the button Add Property to add a new website. Click on it to initiate the process of adding your website to the tool.

4. Add Your Website Property:

Linkbot will do a one-time import of your website structure and page content to evaluate your current internal linking structure, using a proprietary algorithm to build a new internal link strategy to improve your search engine rankings.

You simply need to add:

  • Your website URL (only one version of it)

  • Sitemap.xml URL

Your website URL is the unique address that identifies your website. It typically starts with "http://" or "https://" followed by the domain name, such as "www.example.com".

Note that it is sufficient to submit just one version of your website, only the "http://" or "https://" version. It is not necessary to submit all the versions of your website (www, non-www and http, https are all the same property).

Alternatively, you can add your website´s sitemap.xml URL. It lists all the pages and content on a website, providing a well organized overview of its structure. It helps search engines and users navigate and understand the website's structure and content. A sitemap is typically in XML format and contains information such as the URL of each page, the last modified date, the page's priority, and more. Sitemaps are used to improve search engine crawling and indexing of a website.

The URL for the sitemap XML file typically follows the pattern of your website's domain name followed by the filename of the XML file. The most common location for the sitemap XML file is the root directory of the website.

For example, if your website is "www.example.com" and your sitemap XML file is named "sitemap.xml", the URL for the sitemap XML file would be https://www.example.com/sitemap.xml.

Important: Please, make sure that your property is indexable. Linkbot cannot import a property from a development environment. Your property should be accessible by its URL or its respective sitemap.xml.
